FOX and the Right are antiwoman (pt 233401221)

This one comes to me courtesy of Ed Brayton's blog; Dispatches. You can find the link to his blog on the side of mine; you might have to scroll down a bit, but it's there. Anyway, this particular news story that he posted about just blew me away, and I couldn't help but comment in on it myself.

Yes, I'm claiming that it blew me away. The guy who's capable of dealing with the Free Republic, and all the moral sewage and debris present therein, without missing a beat. This caused me to stand up and take notice. This article deals with the recent announcement that the Obama administration - finally doing something useful - would stand up and force insurance companies to cover birth control and other women's health services without charging co-pay. Now, this was a huge victory, and the left has been lacking those a lot lately.

So, being the important victory it is, it goes without doubt that FOX, the right-wing noise machine it is, would go apoplectic over it. They'd go apeshit - because going apeshit while being batshit is what the Right Wing does best. But really, the 'expert' by the name of Sandy Rios, that they dredged from the lowest rung of moral development made a statement that blew even me away. It won't matter if you've got your moral-hazard gear on or not. This one is like handling raw, charged Meitnerium. No amount of protection will save you, so it's best just to immerse yourself quickly and then get the hell out.

“Is the White House out of their mind? Does the West Wing not know what the left wing is doing? We’re $14 trillion in debt and now we’re going to cover birth control, breast pumps, counseling for abuse? Are we going to do pedicures and manicures as well?” [emphasis original]

Now this... this is just flat fucking stupid. And it's not just flat fucking stupid - it's flat fucking evil as well. How evil do you have to be to compare being consoled for abuse to getting your nails done?

Two of those things are not like the others.

Consoling women who've been abused physically, emotionally, and sexually is just like getting a pedicure and manicure. Preventing yourself from getting pregnant through birth control is just like getting your nails done. Of course, I'm so blind. Why didn't I see it before? We need to go right back to where we were before, because those damn wimminz don't need to be complaining like that. They should go right back to the kitchen.

If you've been the link, or guessed from the name, it's a woman saying this. That's not really all that important at this point, because evil is evil regardless the package it comes in. However, did find it interesting that conservative women are some the most vocal opponents of women's rights, before I realized what was going on here was some kind of Stockholm syndrome. I'd say the most vocal anti-woman rights conservative and right-wing women deserve pity for it, but no they don't. They're part of the problem. They're evil assholes just like their wretched menfolk. What ends up happening is that the Right will pony one of these women up to the podium to hide behind her, like the spineless, degenerate moral eunuchs they are and accuse leftists of being anti-women when we call her out on her bullshit. The reason I have no pity for right-wing women is this - the ones that are most vocal are the one that are benefiting from the system. They aren't living the lives that they're telling other women they should be leading. That's why they deserve just as savage a verbal beating as the men do. They're liars, they're hypocrites, they're rotten to the core and in most cases, they're a type of degenerate and pathetic evil that deserves derision and mocking. So no. They get no special treatment from me. I'll treat them just I will their menfolk - by ripping their arguments to pieces and calling them out as the amorally contemptible profligate knuckle-dragging mouth-breathing chest-thumping depraved reprobates they are.

Also, they're not anything like any fascist movement in the past; as I type this, I sort of realize that. They just can't past muster. Rather than raw, concentrated evil you end up with something like a "fanboi" trying to live up to the dreams of his fascist heroes. He's pathetic, disgusting, gross, and nasty, but in some ways, even more dangerous than the originals because he's got no fucking clue what he's doing.

She's FOX noise's "ex-pert" on birth control and stuff, I guess, because she's a) working with a conservative PAC and b) she agrees with FOX noise. And that's all it takes to be an "ex-pert" on FOX noise.

Oh, but this lady isn't through yet (and therefore, neither am I; once again, emphasis original)
Why in the world would you encourage your daughters, and your granddaughters, and whoever else comes behind you to have unrestricted, unlimited sex anytime, anywhere and that, somehow if you prevent pregnancy, that somehow you’ve helped them. I would submit to you that uncontrolled sexual behavior is what is harming our girls, not our lack of birth control — which by the way they don’t seem interested in taking anyway. Having a baby is not the worst thing. I think having multiple sex partners without any kind of restraint or responsibility is much more damning, why would you support that?
Why on earth wouldn't I? If a woman wants to have sex, she should have sex. End of argument. Why don't you want her too? Is it because you answer to a greater organization that's utterly terrified of female sexuality? Because it usurps that twisted notion of "penetrator-penetratee" as a power structure that your entire fragile Patriarchy is built around?

Also, once again, she tips her hands: "encourage your daughters, and your granddaughters, and whoever else comes behind you..." Not "children and grandchildren" but "daughters and granddaughters".

Once again, there is not a conservative one out there who can explain to me why a woman having multiple partners and being comfortable in her sexuality is a bad thing. Not a single fucking one of you insecure, ubermasculine losers can explain to me why it's a bad idea. The closest I've heard was "I don't want my future wife having sex with another man", which, when unpacked, says the following: a) My wife is not a person, she's an extension of me. b) She's my property, therefore, I didn't give another man permission to use her before me and c) I'm an asshole because I've probably had sex with several "sluts" in my life. You know what? Saying that makes you look a whole lot worse than if you'd just kept your damn mouth shut.

Once again, emphasis original:
In Red China, they have this down to a science. The local health care centers make women come in every month to be examined to see if they’ve had their cycle to make sure they are taking their medication and if they have a baby they are roundly punished, if they have an extra baby that baby is aborted. That is the control we’re moving toward.”
Chinese people - ooga-booga-booga!

No, you dumb piece of shit, that's not the control we're moving towards. The left wants women to be able to choose when they have children, so it's an conscious effort, and something she wants.

Of course, with authoritarian people like Rios, power is zero-sum and choice is an alien term. Choosing is the same as mandating, because they don't understand how it's possible for a person to choose what's right for them. Making women's birth control and health services free of co-pay and forcing the insurance companies to cover it is not the same as government enforced population control, you textbook case of Zeno's Self-Awareness.
“I’d like to say that the morning-after pill has other detrimental affects. In Great Britain where it was legalized first, there was an outbreak of older men taking young girls in for the morning-after pill so they wouldn’t get caught and so there are no consequences.”
[Citation needed]

I'm sure some of my British readers can have fun with this. My response to this, however, after my immediate response (quit your fucking lying) is "oh, and where are the parents at? What the hell are they doing?"

Those consequences are getting pregnant. That should be everyone's consequence. She's not worried that it's older men, she's worried that there weren't any consequence for the trysts. She's worried those little sluts might get away without getting pregnant. How dare they! How dare they enjoy their live! You're what mother calls a "hussy." Hussy, hussy, hussy.

Her parting words to the woman that she was "debating" (they never debate on FOX Noise. Never) against, were this: "Not only do I have the self-awareness of gneiss rock, I have all the compassion and humanity of a black hole" “You all make science a laughing stock. You present science and facts just to present your viewpoint.”

*KABOOM*
Damn it. There goes another irony meter...
